"Vintage airplanes still greet patrons outside and another hangs from the rafters inside, but not much else resembles the past at the refurbished Proud Bird restaurant in Westchester.
The 50-year-old restaurant on the eastern edge of Los Angeles International Airport runways opened its doors Thursday for the first time in 18 months. The renovation did away with the traditional steakhouse, and the restaurant now offers a revamped aviation-themed interior and food bazaar akin to Grand Central Market or the Anaheim Packing House."
